It’s important to read and understand the Highway Code, not only to help you pass your theory, but more importantly to help you become a safe driver. Continuing to read the Highway Code after passing is an important part of remaining a safe driver for life.
Traffic signs play a vital role in directing, informing and controlling road users’ behaviour in an effort to make the roads as safe as possible for everyone. This makes a knowledge of traffic signs essential. Not just for new drivers needing to pass their theory test, but for all road users.
It is important you read and understand these books not only to give yourself a better chance of passing both your theory and practical tests but more importantly that you become a safe driver. To remain a safe driver for life you should re-read them at regular intervals through-out your driving life. The Highway code is not just for learners.
