First Lesson

What to expect on your first driving lesson with Jason Tait. When you have your first lesson , I will tailor the lesson to your own needs and previous experience. It’s fine to be nervous. If you've never driven before I will make sure the lesson is taken at a pace that you feel comfortable with and listen to you to see what you might already know and how you like to learn.

Most lessons I conduct are 2 hours long, however some people prefer 1.5 or even 1 hour lessons. it’s important to have a lesson length that fits in with how you learn best. However on a 2 hour lesson we can often get much more practical driving in than we would on two, 1 hour lessons.

If you’ve not driven before, your first lesson will often be dealing with the vehicle controls and moving off and pulling up. there’s more information on that here.

If you have driven before then, we will see what you have done before and pitch the lesson to your previous experience.

Lessons can be paid for in advance either by cash or card in the car or via bank transfer. A reminder of my pricing is here.
